Measurement method and working principle of two-dimensional image measuring instrument

The measurement of the two-dimensional image measuring instrument is roughly divided into three methods: contour measurement, surface measurement, and Z-axis measurement.

(1) Contour measurement:

As the name implies, it is used to measure the contour edge of the workpiece. Generally, the contour light source at the bottom is used. When needed, surface light can be added as auxiliary lighting to make the measured edge clearer and facilitate measurement.

(2) Surface measurement:

Surface measurement can be said to be the main function of image measurement. The surface measurement of almost all objects can be measured by the surface light source, such as the size of copper on the circuit board, IC circuits, etc. When the measured object is black plastic or rubber, the image measuring instrument can easily measure its size.

(3) Z-axis measurement:

When equipped with a high magnification objective lens, with sufficient aiming and positioning accuracy, the image measuring instrument can perform Z-axis measurement, such as measuring the step height of a workpiece, the depth of a dark hole, and surface light illumination when measuring.


After the measured workpiece (placed on the workbench) is illuminated by LED surface light or contour light (in the base), the image is captured by the zoom objective lens and color CCD camera (inside the casing), and then passed through the S terminal. Send it to the color display, and then use the video ten lines generated on the display as a reference to measure it. Cross the table to drive the optical ruler to move in the X and Y directions, and the data will be processed and displayed by the data processor. Complete the measurement.


The two-dimensional image measuring instrument is a precision measuring instrument mainly used for two-dimensional dimension measurement. It only has X and Y axes with raster display.
